With their debut album launching January 26th via Autumn Tone Records, Los Angeles-based art-rock band The Happy Hollows provides a preview of Spells with the release of their single "Faces." The Happy Hollows have enjoyed a great start to the new year with an extensive feature in the Huffington Post - where they were lauded as "a band you've got to see" - as well as their song "High Wire" soundtracking the latest Samsung ad.
Straddling the sub-genres of post-punk, 90s college rock and 80s pop, The Happy Hollows have been a vital contributor in the LA music scene, offering both catchy and challenging songs. Singer, chief songwriter and guitarist Sarah Negahdari offers her versatile vocals, which range from delicate coos to powerful screams, along with Charlie Mahoney on bass and Chris Hernandez on drums, to form the eclectic sounds featured in Spells.
