M. Ward is planning to drop his new album, A Wasteland Companion, this spring and today, he has unveiled an animated clip to his first new single, "The First Time I Ran Away."

The video was directed by Joel Trussell and was animated by Joel Moser, Marius Alecse, Gene Blakefield, Kelly Turnbull, Frank Macchia and Adam Scarpita.
