Sometimes even the most probing, insightful interview questions just don't give you the juicy scoop you crave on your favorite artists. Sometimes, to get to the real meat of the situation, you have to dig deeper. Sometimes you have to force the artists to take a deep look inside themselves to find the truth. And sometimes, you just have to dare the artist to ask the hotel clerk for directions to "Bonertown."
Hot on the heels of the release of Infinite Arms, the new longplayer from Band of Horses, comes a very special installment of FILTER UNBOUND: "Truth or Dare with Band of Horses”!
FILTER sat down with all five members of the band during a recent tour stop in Los Angeles to get down to brass tacks and spill all the beans on their deepest, darkest secrets...and to share their hidden talents, explore the contents of Ben Bridwell's wallet, cut off some facial hair, and prank call their own record label.
With over 30 full page spreads of Band of Horses coverage, including tons of never-before-seen streaming videos and exclusive photos, the world premiere of Christopher Wilson’s music video for the song “Blue Beard,” an original comic strip review of Infinite Arms by artist Jeffrey Brown, a look back at FILTER TV’s groundbreaking coverage of 2007’s Cease to Begin, as well as a moving Bridwell-penned eulogy to a hawk named Mike that served as the band's inspiration to finish the Infinite Arms sessions, the latest FILTER UNBOUND is the first of its kind…and better than a sleepover with all your best friends and no parents!
The fifth issue of FILTER UNBOUND is available on FILTERmagazine.com beginning June 17, 2010, with proud sponsorship by VTECH (vtech.com).
