FILTER’S Top 10 of 2009: Aaron Axelsen of Live 105

Sometimes the only way to move on from a relationship is to overdose on all the good stuff—like our relationship with 2009. To end the year right, we are posting a guest artist’s Top 10 list of 2009 each day this December.  

Joining us today is Aaron Axelsen, the music director, deejay, and host of the shows Radio Soundcheck and Subsonic at the Bay Area’s very own Live 105. As someone whose profession requires him to be surrounded by music from start-to-finish of his work day, Axelsen has an extensive knowledge of both brand new and established, ultra-popular and obscure bands. Perhaps this is why Axelsen’s top 10 list features everyone from indie dance stalwarts Passion Pit to British electro-rock newcomers The Big Pink.
