New Giant Drag EP Out February 16

It’s been nearly five years since Annie Hardy and her drummer/key bass sidekick Micah Calabrese exploded onto the scene with Hearts & Unicorns, a record that had both critics and fans dropping comparisons to iconic figures such as Kurt Cobain, PJ Harvey, Kim Deal, and Kevin Shields. Now, after a respite that involved record label fall-out, creative overhaul, and overwhelming support from Giant Drag fans around the globe, the duo are back with Swan Song EP, a four-song record out February 16th, 2010 via Roar Scratch.

The Swan Song EP is a lifeline for Giant Drag fans hungry for new material and a wake up call for those few who may not have been privy to the band in their Hearts and Unicorns days. The four-song record encompasses their trademark cacophony of whirling, dirty guitar melodies and snarling yet sultry vocals.

Hardy is currently in the studio hard at work on the band’s second LP, due later this year. You can also catch her in the new short film from Spike Jonze, “I’m Here,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Swan Song EP track listing:
1. Swan Song
2. Stuff To Live For
3. White Baby
4. Heart Carl
